Description
Cole Brown grew up in an environment of private schools and elite ambitions. As a Black student in a predominately white world, he was often held to a higher standard than even the overachievers surrounding him.
While studying at Georgetown University, he witnessed the eruption of Black Lives Matter protests in Ferguson, Missouri. Deeply moved by the protesters, Cole began writing “Greyboy,” a piercing series of essays examining his upbringing as a “token” Black student in a world of privilege and whiteness.
